Rules and Regulations

  • Strict discipline should be maintained within the premises of the Institution. Indiscipline, misconduct or other irregularity will render a students liable for suspension or summary dismissal from the Institution.

  • The students should wear uniforms as may be prescribed by the Institution on all working days compulsorily.

  • The students should be in the classes 10 minutes before the commencement of the classes.

  • Proper respect to the Lecturer / Instructor / Staff is indispensable from the students.

  • Disobedience and disturbance in the classes and in the premises will attract severe punishment and action.

  • Students should not tamper with records nor breach any code of conduct / order which may lead to the dismissal of such students from the Institution.

  • No student should leave the classroom without prior permission during class hours / in between class hours.

  • Latecomers will be treated as absentees.
  • Any change / breakage in classrooms / labs / due to negligence or carelessness shall warrant for financial responsibility immediately.

  • No parent / guardian / friends shall contact the student in class hours. Prior permission is to be obtained.

  • No leave should be availed by the student without the prior approval of the class adviser and the Principal.

  • Ragging is prohibited by notification by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi, with a penalty of up to 2 years of imprisonment. Any violation in any form constitutes summary dismissal from the Institution.

  • Technical visits are permitted with condition. (8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.)

  • Parents / Guardians should visit the department to know their sons / daughters progress between 1 and 10 of each month.

  • No educational tour is permitted at any cost.

  • Group representation will not entertained.

  • Scholarship Amount will be disbursed along with their parents only.


Admissions to all programmes are strictly based on merit. For All programmes 70% of the total seats are filled by GPC based on the qualifying SSLC or higher secondary examination marks following the process of normalization. To bring all candidates from different examining authorities or boards in the same scale of comparison and to create a list in the order of merit, higher secondary examination marks are normalized.

    “A sound mind makes a sound Body” .As to this saying, sports activity plays a vital role. The physical education shapes the individual physically , mentally, socially and morally .The college believes in promoting health and physical fitness through sports and games. The college has a good sports field and sufficient space for training students in athletics and major games like volleyball, football, cricket etc., Students have ample scope for participation at collegiate, inter collegiate and state events. Besides these, the physical education department also conducted various intramural competitions for staff and students.

    Those were the best days of my life Teasing my friends endlessly and getting into a strife Bunking the classes, roaming the grounds Getting scared at the sight of teacher around Stealing chalk to throw on each other Sometimes taking notes without a single bother Replying cheekily to the teachers and giving witty comebacks I loved it when even she used to laugh and crack The ambience of the art room where we hung out To escape the daily routine, teachers shout So many things learnt, so many lessons taught I’ll have to leave it behind who would have thought…


    NSS-National Social Service (at PRC) is 6 years old. Their activities are appreciated by the University. We encourage the participation of NSS volunteers of PRC for university sponsored projects. During the academic year 2000-2001 Women Empowerment Year "National Integration Camp" was conducted. From 14 states, 400 N.S.S. girl volunteers participated. During the last academic year 2003-2004, 50 N.S.S. Volunteers participated in "Kumbakonam Mahamagam Festival." In 2004-2005 an "Eye Camp and Eye Awareness Camp" was conducted, out of which 3000 members were benefited.
